The Breakfast Club

Faithful study, shared leadership, and plenty of coffee.

Who We Are

The Breakfast Club is what we affectionately call the “old, old” Young Adults class — having been replaced twice over the years! Our group is made up primarily of adults with middle school, high school, or college-aged children, though all are welcome.

We are a long-standing class with deep roots in the life of the church over the past 20 years. We currently meet in the Craft Room and average 15–20 each Sunday.

What You’ll Find Here

You’ll find a welcoming, engaged group that values shared leadership, meaningful discussion, and strong fellowship. We enjoy learning together, supporting one another through busy seasons of family life, and, of course, sharing breakfast each Sunday morning.

Visitors are always welcome — just follow the smell of coffee.

Class Format

Our class uses a rotating leadership model, with members taking turns guiding the lesson. This encourages participation and brings a variety of perspectives to our discussions.

No outside preparation is required, though much of our material comes from Amplify for those who wish to read ahead or study more deeply.

We keep a sign-up list for bringing breakfast. It’s safe to say we are the best-smelling class in the building!

Curriculum

We primarily use Amplify-based studies. Materials are accessible for those who would like to dig deeper during the week, but preparation is always optional. Our focus is thoughtful discussion, practical application, and growing together in faith.

Missions & Service

While we do not have a specific class mission focus, our members are deeply involved in the ongoing work and leadership of the church. This year alone, six members of our class serve in leadership roles in the church. In many ways, our class quietly supports much of the maintenance and operational life of the church.
