Memorials and Honorariums

At Grace UMC, we give people the opportunity to express prayer support for those who have lost loved ones and to honor those who are appreciated. Memorial or honorary gifts may be received at any time. They will be acknowledged in the monthly newsletter, and notification will be sent to an appropriate person related to the one remembered or honored.

Gifts should be made to Grace United Methodist Church with information clearly stating the name of the fund and the person(s) to be remembered or honored. Here are the funds of Grace United Methodist Church available for memorial or honorary gifts:

Building Fund – This fund supports capital expenses related to building construction, financing of building loans, and other building improvements chosen by the Trustees or Building Committee.

General Fund – This is our regular fund for supporting the ministry budget.

Music Ministries Fund – This fund allows for the purchase of printed music, new instruments, the hiring of guest musicians, or other special projects chosen by the Music and Worship Arts Team.

GraceFull Players Fund – This fund allows for scripts, costumes, props, and other special items needed for drama and sacred dance ministries chosen by the GraceFull Players.

Youth Fund – This fund supports youth group expenses for mission trips, seasonal retreats, and other projects and needed items chosen by the Youth Ministries Team.

Children’s Fund - This fund supports children’s ministry expenses for craft, curriculum, furnishings, resources, and any projects and needed items chosen by the Children’s Ministries Team.

Joel Curry Soup Kitchen Fund – This fund supports our monthly ministry of providing food for the hungry through the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen.

Love Bowl – This fund, promoted by offerings at the rail on communion Sundays, supports confidential needs at the discretion of our pastor. Our contributions to families in need through the Huntsville Assistance Program are provided by this fund.

Family Assistance Fund – This fund is used to offer direct assistance to families in need at the discretion of our Missions Ministry Team.

Missions Offering – This offering, which is promoted in the spring by the Lenten offering but available at any time, supports missions projects chosen by the Missions Ministry Team.
